As we continue working towards the launch of MarketSquare beta, we want to share with you some of the great projects and services that are joining us. If you haven’t signed up for MarketSquare Beta , there is still time. We also recently released an article detailing Hubs on MarketSquare. Today, let’s welcome Raydium Protocol to MarketSquare!
What is Raydium Protocol?
Raydium is an on-chain order book Automated Market Maker (AMM) built on the Solana blockchain platform. Raydium provides on-chain liquidity to a central limit order book. This means that Raydium’s users have access to the order flow and liquidity of the entire Serum ecosystem.
Serum is a high-speed, non-custodial DEX that’s built on Solana
Over the last year we have seen an increasing demand for decentralized financial products and while this field is increasingly promising, it does not come without its drawbacks.
On Ethereum for example, we have seen transaction fees rise to absurd levels. In addition, we have also seen market fragmentation when it comes to liquidity pools. Liquidity pools on different protocols across the Ethereum network are walled off from one another. Raydium Protocol operates in a different way.
Raydium Protocol is built on Solana which can process up to 65,000 transactions per second. In terms of fees, fees on Solana are a fraction of the cost. Based on the above, Raydium standouts in the following ways:
- Faster transactions with lower fees
- A central order book for ecosystem-wide liquidity
- Strong trading interface

What is the Raydium Team Working on Next?
The roadmap for Raydium Protocol is focused on adding additional features to the platform such as:
- Research on additional market-making models and features in partnership with other protocols
- Leverage of external oracles for improved market-making
- Governance model creation in collaboration with partners
MarketSquare and Raydium Protocol
By having a place on MarketSquare, Raydium Protocol will have a place to provide information on Raydium, their upcoming updates and more. As one of the main goals of MarketSquare is to educate users, we will also be creating a video explaining Raydium Protocol. On a larger scale, we hope to include more projects from the Solana ecosystem in a Solana Hub, which will serve as a valuable resource to their community.
